Back To School With SMASH
Brace yourselves parents, there will be dancing in the streets soon because School is back next week! YIP YIP!!
Personally I love the start of a new school year. The buying of stationery, finding lost shoes and trying to remember if you cleaned out the schoolbag at the end of last term (or is that last part just me?). The other part I love is getting the lunches organised. Making sure everyone has a good lunchbox, and baking up a storm of things to put in them.
Recently we have been given some great new gear from the folks at SMASH to try. Their ever-growing range of lunch containers is just fabulous and you can be sure to find something to suit each member of the family.
The new SMASH BOX is super cool – so many great features!
- It’s own built in and detachable insulation (leave it in the fridge overnight and it keeps the food cool all day)
- A sandwich seatbelt
- It’s dishwasher friendly
- Has 3 big compartments for food items
- Comes with a great screw top container – fabulous for my yoghurts – leak proof and spill free!
The Lunch Buddies are a great set and come in some fab new colours. The set includes:
- A sandwich size container
- 2 x medium snack containers
- 2 x small square snack boxes
- 3 x mini tubs which are perfect for my dips at work!!! Love these!
Mel and I are both great fans of the whole SMASH range and if you keep your eyes open in stores you will find they are always adding great new items to the range. Mel spied a groovy looking Bento Box recently – I can’t wait to see what she does with that one!
The Smash Box is a great design, easy to fill, to carry (with it’s own handle) and the all in one feature means you don’t need to go searching for a cooler bag or cold pack. The lids come off for easy cleaning (although I must admit I didn’t bother – just propped the lids open in the top drawer of the dishy and it cleaned just as well). It is quite large, which is good for Himself as it fits plenty of food for his 12hr stint at work, however its WAYYY too big for the girls, who even with good appetites would never eat enough to fill the box. I found the contents rolled around too much which is not what I like.
If you have high school kids or hungry partners then this box would be perfect for you. The mini food container is great for snacks, nuts or small fruits like rasperries and it’s been fabulous for my breakfast yoghurts.
The Lunch Buddies are a firm favourite for us. They are great for lunches for the little ones, for preschool days as well as trips out when you need snacks to keep everyone happy. I use the tiny ones for dips and Himself takes olives and other such snacks in them also. I also use them for leftovers and bits & pieces in my fridge. You can never have enough of these babies I say!
So this weekend I suggest you head down to your local and check out the new range from SMASH. Those hungry tummies will thank you!!
