Reindeer Hot Chocolates
You have to love a bit of Christmas Craft. I’m a big fan of it when it comes home from Kindy or School but do tend to stay away from doing it at home. Frankly I just hate the cleaning up part. Miss N has a play day after school today and I thought it might be fun for the girls to have a go at these cute Reindeer Hot Chocolates. Not just craft, but practical craft…I reckon I can handle that.
They are super cute, you have to admit and you can hang them on the tree or pop them somewhere safe so on Christmas morning you can upend the contents into a mug and top with hot milk. Yum Yum. For a nice Australian twist (since really, who wants to be drinking hot chocolate of a 30 degree Christmas morning?) you could add it to a blender with cold milk and a scoop of ice cream for a decadent chocolate milkshake. mmmm. Yes Please!!
It really was so easy – I used a piping bag, added two scoops of drinking chocolate, a small handful of dark chic chips and a small handful of mini marshmallows. Cut the excess off the piping bag and tie the end securely with a rubber band. Add a red ribbon for a cute bow and then cut out some reindeer antlers and attach (I used hot glue as it sticks well). A few googly eyes and a red fluffy nose from the craft shop finished off my little guy and I think he looks pretty cool!
