Simple, safe and CHEAP all purpose spray
Since moving into our new house, I’ve been on a bit of a mission to remove unwanted chemicals from our life. In fact, because we don’t have town sewerage, we have to be careful about what we out down our drains as our waste treatment system doesn’t like certain things, for example antibacterial products are a no-no as it kills off all the good bugs in there working to eat up all the nasties from our waste. It throws the whole system off kilter.
Anyone taken a look at just how many cleaning products (not to mention hand soaps) are antibacterial these days? Pretty much all of them.
I had to start making my own cleaning spray for wiping kid muck off every known surface in our house. The places that these kids hands can reach is actually pretty impressive…
So here it is, it smells wonderful AND cleans really well, at a fraction of the cost of regular household cleaners. I use this on my hard surfaces in my kitchen and on my tables.
One spray bottle
Lavender Essential Oil (optional)
The How To
Fill your spray bottle halfway with water, then add the white vinegar (50 water/50 vinegar).
Add half a cap of eucalyptus oil and if desired (for a relaxing scent while your clean) two drops of lavender essential oil.
Pop on your spray lid, shake and use.
