Boys play ideas for learning and imagination…
School is back this week. For me it means a number of things. The biggest if which is that I am dealing with the 25 minute drive each way to school. I’m also juggling this with work three afternoons a week.
This works pretty well when I have menu planned. This week I have not done so. I’m already paying for it. This weekend I am going to get back on the wagon. Being organised is not natural to me (unlike the worlds best super organiser – Danni), but it does make life so much easier!
I occasionally put together play packs for the kids. Again, it’s another thing that makes life easier. If the weather is bad and the kids are bored, having a play pack makes it easier to avoid the temptation if sitting them down to watch a movie or tv. Tonight, I’ve put one together with some play options for Master O (three years old).
It contains the following:
Although it’s all pretty simple stuff, there are a lot of learning outcomes from these play types. And for the most part it’s a majority of independent play which is great when I am trying to whip up dinner before rushing off to Childcare drop off and work!
Do you plan any play for your children?
